SA Senate update - 71% counted

For the fifth state in the Truth Seeker series, we use closing election day figures in SA.

Here are the results of the SA half Senate election

Almost Certain:
1 ALP, 2 LNP, 1 XEN

The final two seats will split – one “Left” and one “Right”

Left Seat:
GRN 93%
ALP 7%

Right Seat:
FF 85%
No Carbon Tax 8%
Xenophon #2 candidate 7%

Interestingly,
- Xenophon’s vote exploded – outpolling the ALP and reducing the ALP to one senator
- Family First candidate Bob Day is likely to be elected after polling 3.76%
- No Carbon Tax is still a chance to be elected despite polling the 29th/32 Senate tickets. Thankfully for our democracy, this chance is slim.
